Biography

Jaclyn Chang is the Program Manager; Continuous Improvement for STEMCELL Technologies Inc. STEMCELL is a Canadian biotechnology company that develops specialty cell culture media, cell isolation systems, and accessory products for life science research. Employing more than 800 people globally, a large number of the company’s employees are located in Vancouver, Canada with additional employees and facilities in 11 other countries.
Having graduated from the Business Operations Management Diploma and Bachelor of Business Administration programs at BCIT, Jaclyn was introduced to STEMCELL through the programs’ industry projects. For the past 2.5 years she has been responsible for the development, implementation and ongoing management of the Continuous Improvement (CI) Program in addition to the management of corporate cross-functional improvement projects.
As a champion, facilitator, teacher, mentor, and connector Jaclyn is working with teams across the organization to integrate lean methodologies into the day to day operations and build a culture of continuous improvement. Since 2015 she has developed and launched:

  • A 5-part internal Lean training program
  • An improvement suggestion program
  • Departmental CI Champion roles
  • Communication boards, and
  • Improvement workshops

Recently trained and certified as a Lean Greenbelt she continues to work with various groups in Operations, Supply Chain and Quality to develop an internal team of experts and champions.
